I believe in the separation of church and state as the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution describes it – and as it was intended by our nation’s founders. The entire principle can be boiled down to this idea: “The government does not have the right to tell churches what they CAN and CANNOT do.” The full text of the amendment reads:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
God-haters all over America have taken this seemingly clear statement on religious freedom to ban everything from prayer in schools, Scripture reading, Ten Commandments monuments, assault on the Pledge of Allegiance, and on and on and on. Just last week, I received a letter in the mail from Barry Lynn, Executive Director of the Americans United for Separation of Church & State, threatening me with potential legal action if I made my political views known regarding the upcoming Presidential election. The law is very interesting. As a Pastor, I am in violation of American law if I endorse, or SPEAK AGAINST a political candidate at any church function. Even if I preface the statement by saying it is my PERSONAL position and not necessarily the church’s position. When the Pastor speaks at any church gathering, the United States government considers him to be a spokesman for the church at large. And will prosecute the church for what the Pastor says.
When you hear this, you might be prone to say that this sounds much more like Soviet Russia, or Nazi Germany, or Fascist Italy in the 20th century. Yet, sadly, this unconstitutional law is vigorously enforced in 21st century America. (So much for the part about free speech!)
Or, perhaps you go in the other direction and are tempted to say that pastors should be concerned with spiritual/moral issues and leave political/governmental issues alone. Therein lies the greatest misconception on the issue of Church and State relations. Church and State CANNOT be separated because Spiritual and moral issues CAN NEVER be separated from the political and governmental entities that pass the laws. Though some erroneously say, “you cannot legislate morality” the fact is that ALL LAWS are an attempt to legislate morality. We have laws against murder because our society believes murder is immoral (unless it’s a baby in the womb then we mysteriously say it’s OK). We have laws against rape because we believe rape is immoral. We have laws against stealing because…..(you get the point).
Church and State cannot be separated because morality cannot be separated from the law. Any attempt to do so will either create churches that are secular and worthless….or laws that are immoral and dangerous. Both of these absurdities exist in our country today, espoused by liberal organizations and the Democrat party, they have pulled America further and further down the slippery slope to immorality, and the inevitable judgment of God. You see, GOD isn’t really intimidated by the ACLU. Their threats don’t scare Him. He’s not afraid of losing His tax-exempt status. God calls nations and people to follow Him and His ways. And when they arrogantly thumb their nose at Him, He continues to show them grace….until He decides enough is enough. And His judgment falls on the un-Godly.
We are currently studying the book of Jeremiah in our Wednesday night Bible Study, and the similarities between Old Testament Israel/Judah….and modern day America are shocking. Israel thought their greatest problems were political and military. So they made alliances with the world powers of their day Assyria and Egypt. They turned from Yahweh, the One True God with whom they had a covenantal relationship with…and they turned to pagan nations for protection. God offered them “fountains of living water”…but they rejected it for “broken cisterns that can hold no water.” (Jeremiah 2:13) When pagan kings ordered them to desecrate the Temple they willingly obliged. When pagan nations worshipped idols, Yahweh’s people joined in. Israel took money from the Temple treasury and gave it to pagan kings as a gift. They thought they were appeasing the powerful….but in reality, they were mocking the ALL-POWERFUL. God makes it very clear, through the prophet Jeremiah, that though they were offered blessings – they chose worldliness — and they would receive Divine judgment. The same is true of America today.
Morality cannot be separated from Law. Christians cannot be banned from the Political process. And Church CANNOT be separated from State….NOR SHOULD IT BE! When you eliminate the true Church, redeemed by Christ, from matters of State, you remove the influence of the One True God from the laws of the people. And Divine Judgment always follows. The First Amendment is supposed to protect, rather than silence, churches.
This year, our Presidential election is the most dangerous we’ve seen in our lifetime. Barack Hussein Obama has no interest in hearing what the Bible says about morality, in fact he openly mocks it. Obama favors Hate Speech legislation that silences those who speak out on moral issues such as homosexuality. Obama embraces homosexuality as a “civil right” and will ultimately push for gay marriage. Obama opposed the Born Alive Infant Protection Act, and was the only Senator to actually give a speech opposing this bill which would have outlawed the murder of newborn children who survived a botched abortion. Obama favors re-instituting the “Fairness Doctrine” which requires radio stations to have as many liberal shows as conservative. Should the government have the right to monitor political and religious speech in a free society? No. But Obama doesn’t favor a free society. He favors a far, left-leaning dictatorship where the Government is God…and He serves as King. Don’t let the smooth speeches and pretty smile fool you. His record speaks loud and clear…and he has surrounded himself with some very vicious people. Yet, like sheep to the slaughter, the masses go after Obama. Not realizing the danger of what they’re doing.
America’s greatest problems ARE NOT Economic. Nor are they Military. Nor are they Educational. Nor are they Health Care related. America’s greatest problems are Spiritual and Moral. America has repeatedly thumbed its nose at God and mocked Jesus Christ and the slide to judgment has picked up steam in the last several years. A booming economy does no good, when it exists in a nation full of people who are slaves to the government…and are told to look to it for their survival. God, speaking through the prophet Jeremiah, warned the nation of Judah: “Your own wickedness will correct you, and your rebellions will rebuke you….For you forsake the LORD your God, and the fear of me is not in you…. And you will be put to shame…” (Jeremiah 2:19, 36)
I don’t know exactly how God might choose to judge America. But an Obama presidency could certainly bring much of it about. I speak now, because I still can. Obama, and others like him who may very soon be in power, will seek to silence the voice of opposition. In the style of a dictator, all dissenters will be “tarred and feathered” and laws passed in the name of fighting “hate” will only serve to remove the true and loving voice of God and His people. As a Pastor, I’m already banned from endorsing political candidates. Obama will try to ban me from making other “moral” arguments as well…..but we must obey God rather than man (Acts 4:19-20). Obama and his goons….or some future president and his goons may one day pass laws to silence, imprison, or even execute those that disagree with them. You say it could never happen here? That’s the same thing Germany once said, prior to Hitler. Anything is possible…even in America. Especially in America….where people are more concerned with their 401 K’s than they are their standing before God. Yes, I may be one day silenced by liberal goons calling themselves the “hate crimes police”…..but if so, I plan to die happy. I’ll be with Jesus, who died the same way…..and I’ll be in Heaven where God’s judgment won’t be necessary anymore.
Jeremiah was aghast at what was transpiring in his nation, and as God said through the prophet: “Be appalled O Heavens at this, and shudder….for my people have committed two evils: They have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters, and made for themselves cisterns, broken cisterns that can hold no water.” (Jeremiah 2:12-13) Listen up America! Jesus is the fountain of living waters. Obama is a broken cistern that can hold no water. McCain falls WAY SHORT of Christ….but is MUCH BETTER than Obama. And on Tuesday, November 4…the ball will be in your court. Will you choose to reject the immoral policies of Obama? Or will you embrace Obama and reject the living waters of Almighty God? Your judgment hangs in the balance.

“If anyone does not love the Lord, he is to be accursed.” (1 Corinthians 16:22 NASB)
Newsweek columnist Lisa Miller wrote a critical column this week with a headline that reads: “The Senior Pastor of Palin’s Former Church Preaches Hellfire to Anyone Who Isn’t Saved By Jesus.” In typical, high-brow, snotty, liberal fashion, she looks down upon Christians and bemoans the fact that Palin is so narrow-minded that she is a pit bull for the “religious right” and for those who oppose abortion. While Palin’s conservative political views are well known, why is Miller, and other liberals so concerned that Palin’s church believes in Hell? Undoubtedly Miller is trying to scare her readers into thinking Palin is an extremist who should be shunned. Yet what Miller, and other liberals, fail to realize is that beliefs such as this one, in Hell for the unrepentant, is embraced and believed by all Biblical Christians. Millions of Americans believe in Hell, because Jesus spoke of it often. The Bible is full of warnings to those apart from Christ who will perish in their sins unless they turn to the Lord. That may sound “old fashioned” and “radical” to people like Lisa Miller; but that just sounds like Christianity to those who believe the Bible.
This is where I believe the Political Left and the Mainstream Media are shooting themselves in the foot with regards to Sarah Palin. Since they spend most of their time hob-knobbing with uppity, liberal, elitists they fail to realize that the majority of the country is much more like Palin than they are them. I recently heard a liberal pastor complaining that Palin didn’t win office in Alaska by courting the “religious right”—she ACTUALLY IS apart of the religious right. He said it as a put down, but I rejoiced to hear it. And many other Americans do as well.
When you listen to clips of Wasilla Assembly of God Pastor Ed Kalnins preaching on Hell, it sounds very similar to what I myself, and scores of other pastors preach every Sunday. Preachers who preach “hellfire” actually have the audacity to proclaim an eternal reality that Jesus Himself proclaimed, and commanded us to likewise preach. We have the audacity to believe that if you call yourself a “Christian” then you should actually believe what Christ taught. We have the audacity to believe that there is an eternal world that awaits all people after they leave this life. We have the audacity to believe Jesus’ words that “No one comes to the Father except by me.” (John 14:6) And we have the audacity to believe that those who do not come to Christ in repentance and faith will perish in eternal Hell, just like Jesus said they would. When I hear that Sarah Palin attends churches that proclaim these eternal truths, I rejoice that at last a politician has arrived on the national scene who shares my beliefs, and I know that she will pay a dear price for it in the media.
But it doesn’t end with Hell. Pastor Ed Kalnins also apparently opposes homosexuality. Can’t you just hear the liberals shrieking!!! Imagine, a Christian minister who actually thinks homosexuality is a sin, and that unrepentant sinners go to Hell!!! Who knew???? Why it must just be an Alaska thing right???? No, my dear liberals, this is what all Biblical Christians believe…..and there are many of us in America today.
Kalnins says that people have a conscience that tells them what is right and wrong. And that homosexuals know their sin is wrong because their conscience tells them so. But in an effort to ease their conscience they try to pass laws supporting their sin. That way they can ease their conscience by saying the government approves of their behavior, even thought their conscience condemns them. To which I give a hearty AMEN! That is exactly what Romans 1 teaches.
I’m not sure of everything Kalnins believes. He is an ordained Assembly of God, and I am an ordained Baptist so we probably would differ on some lesser issues. But on foundational issues, he teaches salvation through Christ alone, the reality of Hell, and the truthfulness of sin’s devastating effects. I commend him, and any Pastor, who has the backbone to speak out about Hell and Homosexuality since both issues will get you maligned in our world today. Incidentally, Kalnins and his wife also have 7 children, which no doubt drives liberals crazy as well. (Don’t those people in Alaska know we’re supposed to be KILLING babies, not HAVING babies??!!??)
I got to be honest…when I hear of Sarah Palin’s associations with “radicals” like Ed Kalnins, I rejoice rather than recoil. When I hear Barack Obama’s Pastor of 20 years, Jeremiah Wright shrieking “God-D–N” America” and calling America the “US of KKKA.” Then I hear Kalnins preaching the truth of the gospel and the reality of Hell; the choice for our country is clear. While these two Pastors are not running for office, it says a lot about the candidates when you examine the spiritual company they keep. While Newsweek liberal Lisa Miller tries to scare people by writing of Kalnins belief in Hell, all she’s doing is galvanizing the millions of Americans who agree with him, and Palin; and she’s motivating us even more to get out and vote come November.
Sarah Palin has an extremely rough couple of months ahead of her. Her enemies are numerous and powerful and they will unleash all they have to try and destroy and discredit her. So far their attempts have backfired, and I hope they continue to. What our nations needs from it’s government leaders is a deeply rooted, God-fearing, love for Jesus Christ. Palin seems to fit the bill. Lisa Miller calls her the “pit bull for the religious right”…I simply call her a breath of fresh air. Continue to pray for her as the liberals, reporters, and snobs of America seek to ruin her….and in the process, further ruin our country. And pray for Kalnins and other Biblical preachers. The tendency will be to go soft on the gospel in order to avoid political fallout, but the Great Commission leaves no room for reticence in the pulpit. We must speak boldly, faithfully, and truthfully about all things Christian, including eternal Hell. Bravo to Kalnins for doing it. Let’s hope and pray he keeps up the good work; and that the gospel of Christ is proclaimed in the midst of this political election season.

President Bush has nominated James Holsinger, a Kentucky cardiologist, to be the next Surgeon General of the United States. During his senate hearings on Thursday, Ted Kennedy and his fellow Liberals attacked Holsinger over views he expressed in a 1991 paper, concerning homosexuality. In the paper titled: “Pathophysiology of Male Homosexuality”, which Holsinger wrote for his church (United Methodist), he describes homosexuality as being non-normative and potentially unhealthy behavior. At the time, the United Methodists were studying homosexuality to determine what the church’s stance should be. (Perhaps they should’ve consulted the Bible?) But, be that as it may, Holsinger simply pointed out, from a medical perspective, the dangers of homosexuality. The facts are what they are. Homosexuals stand a far greater risk of contracting numerous sexually transmitted diseases, and one would have to be dramatically detached from reality to not see the obvious unnaturalness of homosexual behavior. Morality aside…from a purely scientific perspective, the fact is homosexual activity destroys the human body. I’ll warn you that Holsinger’s paper was fairly descriptive in discussing some of homosexuality’s practices, but you can read the paper by clicking here.
His basic conclusion is that male homosexual behavior (i.e., sodomy) attempts to merge two different human systems (reproductive and digestive) that simply aren’t meant to go together. He graphically (and scientifically) points out what all sane people already know. The male and female reproductive organs are designed compatibly, and when a male and a male try to do what they were designed to do with a female, serious injuries may occur. Among those are increased risk for: “anal/rectal cancer, rupture of the rectumabrasive, trauma causing fissures, contusions, thrombosed hemorrhoids, lacerations with bleeding, pain, and psychic trauma.” (pg. 4-8 of Holsinger’s paper) Some of these words may be over our heads…but I think his point is clear and accurate.
Furthermore, nature testifies to the compatibility of male-female relations by the simple fact of procreation. Heterosexuals have the potential of producing offspring. Homosexuals are, have always been, and will always be incapable of reproduction. Vital anatomical parts…and vital reproductive “components” (egg & sperm) are missing in the homosexual equation. Holsinger points out in his paper that even the “plumbing industry” recognizes these compatibility issues by describing pipe fittings as either “male” or “female” fittings depending upon their function. If you try to force two male fittings together…destruction will result. And so it is with humans.
Ironically, Holsinger is being accused of using science for his own “religious purposes.” Which is EXACTLY what the homosexual community, the medical community, and some of their warped spokesmen like Ted Kennedy are doing. They are collectively rejecting biological fact, clinical research, natural evidence, and plain common sense, in order to further a socio-political agenda, which is the forced acceptance of homosexuality in our society. And ultimately, the homosexuals who so fiercely oppose Holsinger, will pay the price with their health, life, and soul.
Sadly, the depraved mindset that has driven them to engage in such odd behavior has also infected the thinking and the judgment of our Nation’s medical, educational, and legislative communities. Kennedy called Holsinger’s paper a “misuse of science.” Never mind the fact that Ted Kennedy has, time and again, forfeited the right to be considered a credible opinion on any matter….what Kennedy accuses Holsinger of is exactly what Kennedy and Company are doing. ABC News reports: “Professor Eli Coleman, Director of the Program in Human Sexuality at the University of Minnesota Medical School said ‘I can’t imagine that any scientific journal would be able to publish this material because of its very narrow views of homosexuality,’ he said. In fact, if one of his students handed the paper in, Coleman would give it a failing grade. ‘I find it rather outdated in terms of its scientific knowledge and also narrow in its view of homosexuality. It concerns me because I think our public policy really should be based upon best available science.” (reported on ABC news 6/7/07)
Did you catch the double standard? Science should reject this paper because of its ‘view’ (in other words: opinion) of homosexuality. Isn’t science supposed to be objective? I thought ‘views’ were not allowed in science. At least that’s what scientists say when the debate is over evolution vs. creationism. Opinions aren’t supposed to matter, only the facts….unless it’s homosexuality…then the facts can be ignored if you don’t have the politically correct ‘view.’ Shocking hypocrisy, isn’t it?
HELLO? Is anyone in America listening to what’s going on here? Holsinger points out the obvious and is railroaded, tarred and feathered, and browbeaten into submission by the “scientific community.” Then Holsinger is accused of using science to push an agenda? A more blatant case of the “pot calling the kettle black” you will never find.
Alright, enough about the asinine left wing attacks, let me take a moment to drag that annoying U.S. Constitution into the equation. Aren’t Ted Kennedy and his liberal cronies the ones who are ALWAYS forcing the “separation of church and state” upon Americans? If so…then why is Holsinger being attacked for something he said in a paper….WRITTEN FOR HIS CHURCH! Make no mistake, the “separation of church and state” is a myth never found in the Constitution, but the Constitution DOES strictly forbid any religious test be administered for one to serve in office. “No religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.” (Article 6) And this strict adherence MUST be held to by all SENATORS (including one’s named Kennedy, Clinton, Obama, & Edwards) Article 6 of the Constitution further states: “The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution.” In other words, Senators like Ted Kennedy are “bound by oath” to do what they frequently (and purposely) refuse to do…stick to the Constitutional requirements for legislative practice.
By citing a religious paper, Holsinger’s opponents are clearly trying to harpoon his nomination because of something he wrote at the request of his church. Furthermore, Holsinger’s paper really made no moral judgments on homosexuality anyway…he citied scientic facts, backed up by obvious observations, and medical studies published in what used to be, reputable medical journals. The only “hearings” that should be going on right now on Capitol Hill are hearings to expel Ted Kennedy (Article 1, Section 5 states Senators can be expelled with a 2/3 majority vote) and any other Senator who disregards the public’s safety and ignores the Constitution by forcing depraved ideology upon the American masses. But I digress.
Tragically, the Holsinger hearings are a sign of the bizarre times in which we live. The radical homosexual agenda has now successfully hijacked America’s educational system, political system, mass media, and even medical community. That’s scary because public safety now bows the knee to political correctness. Homosexuals, whose health could benefit from reports like Holsinger’s refuse to listen…and are being catered to by Congress and society at large, for the sake of their sinful pleasures. How can so many people, defy common sense, nature, and medical fact by embracing homosexual behavior as normative? The Bible gives the answer:
“For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever . Amen. For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error. And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper.” Romans 1:25-28 (NASB)
Millions in our country have been given over to a depraved mind, and the implications are breathtaking. Paul tells us that it is possible for a person to become so depraved in their behavior….that it actually affects their thinking processes, reasoning skills, and common sense. And once their natural intellectual faculties are so desperately flawed…further strange behavior ensues. The mind given over to depravity begins to do things like oppose doctors who warn them of the dangerous effects of their sin. And employ doctors who will tell them their sin is completely natural. The depraved mind ignores studies that reveal the unhealthy effects of perversion and employ “scientists” to do studies that will affirm their perversion. The depraved mind will label any Christian as a bigot, who lovingly confronts their sin with Biblical truth and shares an offer of salvation in Christ. And instead hire “preachers” who will “tickle their ears” and encourage their depraved lifestyle (see 2 Timothy 4:3) The depraved mind will reject the natural instincts of desire for the opposite sex…and will sodomize itself into an early grave. Claiming unto the end that the disease by which they are dying is merely a tragic nemesis to society, rather than the obvious judgment of God upon the sinful behavior. The disease is something to throw tax dollars at seeking a temporal “cure” rather than Divine judgment, calling for repentance.
Our society is in SERIOUS trouble…the Holsinger hearing only confirms that sad and horrific reality. God’s judgment is upon us and it shall get worse. When common sense is so violently opposed…then the Nation is ultimately doomed. Christians must pray for the people of our country. Many are given over to their depravity, and are unwilling to hear the truth. Only God can change their hardened hearts…and He is under no obligation to do so. America has rejected God for so long….that He is handing us over to what we’ve freely chosen. Your support of politicians who embrace sin will indict you as an accomplice to Society’s crime. Your silence on these types of issues will indict you as a complacent bystander, who witnesses America’s crumbling and says nothing to prevent it. Your acceptance of homosexuality as normative will give evidence that your standards, and even your mind, is being more influenced by the wicked culture than it is a Righteous God. Holsinger’s nomination is probably as good as sunk. But we’ve lost much more than a good doctor. We’ve lost our moral equilibrium. We’ve lost our sense of right and wrong. And ultimately we’ve lost our minds. “And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind.” BEHOLD!….Romans 1.…being lived out before your very eyes….in the once hallowed halls… of the United States Capitol.

June 26, 2007 by Shane Kastler.
In a recent speech before the ultra-liberal United Church of Christ convention, presidential hopeful Barack Obama accused conservatives of “hijacking faith” saying: “Faith got hijacked, partly because of the so-called leaders of the Christian Right, all too eager to exploit what divides us.” Obviously this was nothing more than an “applause line sound bite” that the eager beaver Obama used to garner accolades at a liberal “church” convention (I use the word ‘church’ loosely here). But context aside, I would be curious to hear Obama elaborate on exactly HOW, conservatives have “hijacked faith.” Of course “hijack” means you forcibly take over something that isn’t yours. Would conservatives be “hijacking” faith by teaching the Biblical view of marriage between male and female? Would conservatives be “hijacking faith” by opposing the vile practice of murdering babies while they’re being delivered (a practice Obama proudly supports)? Or would conservatives be “hijacking faith” by desiring God’s Name be allowed in the public domain? I would love to hear the “junior” Senator from Illinois elaborate on this, and specifically give examples of where the “faith” has been hijacked. I wouldn’t expect much of a reply, but he no doubt knows quite a bit about “hijacking faith” given his obvious expertise at the practice.
In case you’re unfamiliar with the practice of “hijacking faith” for your personal ambition, let me give you some examples. EXAMPLE 1. Giving a political candidacy speech at a United Church of Christ convention. Let’s be honest, this wasn’t a “church” function, it was a political rally. How pathetically ironic that he would utter the “faith hijack” jargon, while he himself was in the very process of doing it. EXAMPLE 2. Belonging to a church/denomination that would dare use the name “Christ” yet oppose everything the REAL Jesus Christ stood for. Let’s be honest, the United Church of Christ isn’t “United” they’re not a “Church” and they really have nothing to do with the teachings of “Christ.” The only word in their name they can honestly use is “of.” It’s ambigious, pointless, and small, just like the U.C.C. They’ve been ordaining gay ministers since 1972 and have led the way in promoting gay marriage. They’re an absolute joke of a “church” that only exists to advance flaky political causes…and they have NO INTEREST in preaching the gospel of Christ. EXAMLE 3. Rambling nonsense about how faith should “unite” us….when Jesus clearly taught otherwise. Here’s an example. In his speech, Obama said: “Somehow, somewhere along the way, faith stopped being used to bring us together and faith started being used to drive us apart.” But what did JESUS say?
“Therefore everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father who is in heaven. “But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven. “Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. “For I came to SET A MAN AGAINST HIS FATHER, AND A DAUGHTER AGAINST HER MOTHER, AND A DAUGHTER-IN-LAW AGAINST HER MOTHER-IN-LAW; and A MAN‘S ENEMIES WILL BE THE MEMBERS OF HIS HOUSEHOLD. “He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; and he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. “And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me.” (Matthew 10:32-38 NASB)
Let’s be honest. Jesus number one goal wasn’t to unite all “faiths” in some sort of liberal, tree-hugging excursion in which we all join hands, skip in a circle and sing “We Are The World.” Jesus came to preach the gospel truth. And the “gospel truth” divides. His gospel is exclusive, it is offensive to many, and it is humbling. All sinners may come to Him, but they’ll have to turn from their sin (repentance) and follow HIM alone (faith). The fact is you won’t be able to please both Jesus and the “United Church of Christ”…Obama has clearly chosen the latter for the sake of his political ambitions.
Quite frankly, Obama’s “charm” is getting more and more nauseating by the day. In the early stages of his candidacy, he was fairly sly in his “religious talk.” In fact, I feared he would hoodwink Biblical Christians by how glowingly he spoke of “faith.” But, as time has passed, and his poll numbers have plummeted (he now trails Queen Hillary by double digits), Obama has begun to show his true liberal colors and bash all things Biblical in an effort to rally his political base around him.
I’ll close with one more asinine quote from the Barrack Hussein Obama’s recent speech: “There was even a time when the Christian Coalition determined that its number one legislative priority was tax cuts for the rich. I don’t know what Bible they’re reading, but it doesn’t jibe with my version.” First of all, it’s a rather blatant lie. Second of all, invoking the name of the Christian Coalition was nothing more than another cheap applause line. Why bring up a group whose apex of influence peaked in 1994? And third, what version of the Bible IS Obama reading? I think we would all be very intrigued to see a version that supports the diabolical issues he so passionately embraces.
Obama knows a lot about “hijacking faith” given the fact that he does it on a daily basis. To accuse conservatives of this is a gargantuan case of the “pot calling the kettle black.” Liberals like Obama want us to believe that following Jesus means nothing more than giving money to poor people, giving women the right to kill (choose), and graciously accepting/condoning/encouraging a dangerous and shockingly perverse practice known as homosexuality. Indeed Senator, what Bible version are you reading? And did that Bible teach you how to deftly “hijack faith” while accusing others of the very thing you so blatantly practice yourself? Just curious…
